About Me

I am Zhuoqi Liu, and you can also call me Will. I am a PhD candidate in Astronomy & Astrophysics at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where I work with Prof. Sean Johnson. I received my bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Click to check my Curriculum Vitae.

My primary research is on observations of the circumgalactic medium (CGM). I seek to provide constraints on the origin and physical condition of the CGM gas via giant quasar nebulae. My research primarily utilizes data from wide-field integral-field spectrographs, such as VLT/MUSE, complemented by photometric and spectroscopic data from HST and the Magellan Telescopes.
